The Fullness of Time Scripture and Latter-day Saint history
History, AD 101 to 1799

Apostasy and Reformation

The long middle. Councils settle creeds, the Bible is copied and later printed, reformers press for change, and translators are put to death for putting scripture into common speech. Latter-day Saints read these seventeen centuries as preparation: the printing press, the Reformation and a country founded on religious liberty all had to come first.
